Letter Ii

The focus letter for this week has been the letter 'i'. We have practiced writing the letter and saying the sound. We sing a song "Issy insect, i i i" to help us remember.
Below are some pictures of our 'igloos' that we made to tie in with our letter 'i' focus.

ANZAC DAY

This week, we have been having some discussions in class about ANZAC day. We have spoken about why we commemorate it and why this year is a very special anniversary. Please find below photos of some of the ANZAC activities the grade have participated in.

Patterns were one of the maths topics we worked on during term 1. We discovered that patterns are all around us, from the clothing we wear to the repeating patterns found in nature. We did lots of activities that involved identifying and creating patterns.

Peyton is using teddy bears to make a pattern.
Billy is using plastic fruit to make his pattern.
Archer, Matilda and Isla are using peg boards to create their patterns.
