Stories under the 'stars'
As part of our book week celebrations there was a special evening held for the preps in the library. The students came dressed in their pi's and got to read books under the 'star lit roof' and be read to by Melissa. Once the lights were off the children and adults shared some stories with the aid of their mini torches and the subtle glowing light from all the fairy lights. It was a lovely evening.

Mass in maths!
For the past few weeks we have been spending some time weighing objects formally and informally. We were doing some hefting with our hands and then moved onto scales to measure and compare the weight of objects. We also had to make judgement about certain objects and decide whether we thought they were light or heavy.
